New development set to place small town on the map

Barrydale is set to have its very own KFC restaurant, a move that promises not only delicious meals but also a boost to the local economy.

This first franchise in the village will pave the way for many more great stores to locate to this part of the Klein Karoo.

Local developers have also submitted plans for the all new Barrydale Vegan Mall that will be located in the industrial area.

A Convenient Dining Option for Barrydale

For many years, Barrydale has been known for its charming restaurants and cafés, but now the colonel’s popular dishes will ad more spice to Route 62.

“KFC is a brand that many people know and love, and having one right here in Barrydale means we won’t have to travel far to enjoy it,” said Barrydale resident Chris.

“It’s great to have more variety.”

Job Creation and Economic Growth

One of the key benefits of the new restaurant is the employment opportunities it will bring. The KFC branch is expected to create multiple jobs for Barrydale residents, providing new career opportunities in food service and management.

With more businesses choosing to invest in the town, the local economy stands to benefit from increased job availability and higher foot traffic from visitors stopping for a meal.

Boost for Tourism and Passing Trade

Barrydale is a well-loved stop for road trippers exploring Route 62, and the introduction of KFC is likely to attract more travellers looking for a quick, familiar meal. Businesses nearby may also see a positive impact as more visitors take time to explore the area.

Anticipation Builds Ahead of Opening

While the official opening date has not yet been confirmed, construction is progressing steadily, and excitement is building among locals. Residents are eager to see how the new addition will enhance dining options in the town.

As anticipation grows, Barrydale looks forward to welcoming KFC and the opportunities it brings. Keep an eye out for updates on the grand opening!
