The first tries belonged to Progress, after Buffies took an early lead, through the boot of Ashley Blaauw (10). As the first half drew to a close, the home team had taken a narrow lead, thanks to some excellent kicking from Donovan Julius, who also slotted a few penalties.

The second half was a different story, with both teams coming out all guns blazing. They scored a few points within minutes of the restart, taking the lead and sending the home team’s fans into a panic. But the home team refused to give up. They fought back with grit and determination, eventually scoring a crucial try that swung the momentum back in their favor.
