Donations start from as little as R30 and these contributions will help to ensure that the incredible work Barrydale Hospice does on a daily basis, continues.
For the Hand Weavers – a local business that takes great pride in the role they play in empowering the community through job creation and skills development – this latest drive to make a difference in the community came about as natural as the locally sourced cotton they use in their products.
Barrydale Hand Weavers has previously assisted with fundraising for the Playground Skatepark, Barrydale Fight Club, Net vir Pret and various other NGO’s.

A word from the Weavers
Barrydale is a place where people come to embrace the beauty of the countryside, but with its charm also come challenges—like the absence of a permanent doctor, pharmacy, or hospital.
In times of need, the community looks after one another, and at the heart of this care is Barrydale Hospice.
Led by Sister Nickie Crookes and her team of dedicated carers, Hospice ensures that no one faces life’s most difficult moments alone. Whether responding to emergencies, dressing wounds, or providing comfort to those in their final days, these compassionate professionals are always there—often working through the night, beyond the call of duty.

Barrydale Hospice operates without government funding, relying solely on community support to continue their essential work. That’s why we’re inviting you to extend a helping hand.
For just R30 per hour, you can contribute directly to the care and support they provide. You choose how many hours you’d like to donate, making it easy to give in a way that fits your budget.
Together, we can ensure that Barrydale’s angels continue their invaluable work.
