The influx of new residents has also had the desired effect on the local economy as many of these newcomers have opened up businesses in town.
Many existing businesses in town can also report an increase in their bottom line following this post covid influx but with that said, Ruth has cautioned potential sellers not to out price themselves.
“While the value of properties has increased over the last year, sellers should always be realistic in what they expect their houses to sell for.
“Yes Barrydale is a prime destination, but due to the global economic situation, buyers are making an even greater effort to ensure that they make good long term investments.”
