There’s one massive party taking place all along Route 62 this weekend as the official festive spirit makes its way along the Langeberg Mountain range.

From Montagu to Barrydale and beyond, the variety of markets, festivals and activities should once again attract thousands of tourists.

The Langeberg Summerfest at Montagu Golf Club is bound to be an absolute blast with with live music galore. Be sure to catch the legendary Skallabrak, local legend James Mundey, Kenny Lind and rising star Karel Bester at this two day event.

Dance the weekend away at Karoo 62 and enjoy an audio and visual journey that will lift spirit and body in one connection with the Karoo’s Mother Spirit, or so they say on their website.

This special journey runs from 13 to 16 December and is set at one of South Africa’s premier outdoor events venues.

Barrydale:
Brace yourself for a bumper weekend that kicks off on Friday the 13th with the traditional Magpie Tree Lighting and Karoo Art Hotel’s Christmas Party evening, followed by live entertainment at the Dung Beetle.
And before we forget, Under Karoovian Skies X (a tribute to Elon) also gets underway on this superstitious day.
The annual Giant Puppet Parade and Performance will take place on Saturday, December 14 and the following day no less than eight artists will be performing The Dung Beetle’s Potjiekos Bash, so buckle up pappa.
