This exceptionally gifted artist, who in 2013 became the first South African to enter the iTunes SA chart at #1 on the first day of releasing his debut album, will join the Nomadic Orchestra, Fritz Gun, Faraway George, Nick Turner, Jannie Hannepoot Van Tonder and Van der Aven at the picturesque countryside festival.
“We are delighted to host these world class acts at Joubert-Tradauw,” said festival organiser Beate Joubert.
“During last year’s Karen Zoid performance we were again reminded just how perfect this venue is for live entertainment. People love to see their favourite artists in the beautiful countryside, away from the city noise, and we aim to host another epic event,” she added.
Outdoor activities to complement music
As part of festivities an all new cycling route will also be launched that weekend.
The Tarras Dua Cycle Loop will be opened in commemoration of the KhoiKhoi women who walked the valley bare feet.
The track starts in Barrydale and runs through several farms next to the Langeberg mountain range. It highlights the pristine beauty of the Tradouw Valley which is renowned for its fruit exports.

Fun for the entire family
The loop will give riders, runners and hiker the opportunity to embrace the outdoors while there will be no shortage of activities for those who prefer to put their feet up.
For instance, saxophonist Jaco Kriek and cellist Dorette Roos will be in attendance at some of the events which include a champagne brunch, high tea and a classic Klein Karoo harvest table.

Three deep house DJs have also been booked to keep the party going at this autumn festival.
“Over these four days guests will be treated to the absolute best Barrydale has to offer,” said Joubert .
“We have made a concerted effort to ensure that this is a family oriented event and it is our mission to ensure that every festival goer has the time of his/her life.”
