Graham Abbott announced that South Africa’s first Super Model Josie Borain will be doing a talk at this year’s Barrydale Analog Photo Festival that will take place between 10 and 20 December.

Dust off that old camera, bring a friend, in fact bring many friends and come and enjoy 10 magnificent days of analog photography in Barrydale.

With this spirit Graham Abbott is excited to announce that photographers from all corners of the country will again flock to town for the second edition of the Barrydale Analog Photo Festival which is scheduled to take place from 10-20 December.

The inaugural event was a resounding success – not only from a photo quality perspective (some of the best photographers on the planet exhibited) but also in the form of workshops and talks that took place.

“We are delighted that some of the top photographers of yesteryear have again agreed to exhibit their work here,” Graham said.

And in a twist (yes G always has an ace up his sleeve), Graham confirmed that one of the very first South African super models will grace the festival with her presence.

Borain to attend photo festival

Josie Borain who is considered a good friend and collaborator of Calvin Klein, will do a talk on photography and what influence it had on her life.

She was, after all, photographed by legends like Irving Penn, Richard Avedon and Steven Meisel and to this day she is both loved and respected for the work she had done.

“We are very privileged to have her as one of the guest speakers at this year’s festival and we look forward introducing her to the beauty of Barrydale,” Graham added.

Graham added that there will again be several workshops and exhibitions during the 10 day festival that has become very important in its preservation of a dying art form.

More details on this festival will follow in weeks to come.
