In an attempt to curb the devastating effects of lockdown, Ladismith based wine boutique Karoo Vine has conveniently compiled and boxed a selection of top Klein Karoo wines.
All boxes filled with these divine bottles will, of course, be delivered free of charge once it is legal to do so.
Based on the scenic Route 62, Karoo Vine has over the years become a one-stop shop that boasts a vast selection of regional wines, distilled brandies, whiskies, gins and other locally produced drinks.

“Sadly many small businesses have been hard hit by recent lockdown regulations. With this in mind the Karoo Vine Box initiative was launched to help these struggling business and give South Africans the opportunity to enjoy the wines of the Klein Karoo,” says Karoo Vine owner Elsa Meets.

This initiative is not limited to the award winning wines that can be found along the R62. They have also created a Karoo Vine Distilled Box that boasts the best pot stilled brandy on the planet AND the best whiskey that has ever been produced in South Africa.
Meets said that their initial goal is to sell at least 100 Karoo Vine and Karoo Vine Distilled Boxes, but they know all to well that it is going to take far greater enthusiasm from consumers to help many of the small businesses that have suffered due to Covid-19 keep their doors open.
